Tracey has been involved in the financial services industry for 28 years and is as passionate about this diverse industry now as she was at age 17. She originally started her career with the National Bank and held a large variety of positions. At the age of 21 Tracey was placed in charge of the Bank’s local international business which involved dealing directly with significant NZ businesses, transacting millions of dollars in foreign contracts daily, throughout the globe. In her time with the National Bank she held several management positions.
Tracey has since worked for other large corporations in NZ and has been involved in financing for businesses and acting as a lending credit manager. In 2001 she took up a role as a Financial Adviser with Westpac. This involved not only providing financial planning, investment and insurance advice but also lending and property investment advice. Tracey’s own passion for property and investment allowed her to give first-hand advice to her clients regarding structuring such investments and their tax effectiveness.
During her Banking career Tracey became part of the senior management team of two major NZ Banks and she managed teams of financial advisers, insurance advisers, broker managers and mobile managers. At one stage she managed 32 direct reports, in various NZ locations.
Tracey has gained all her tertiary qualifications part-time while balancing the demands of full time work, motherhood and study. She is currently working towards the NZX Adviser qualification She is a firm believer in never letting the grass grow under her feet and loves to stretch herself at all times. This hasn’t always made for the most exciting of social lives, however, being the social creature that she is she still finds time for the loves of her life: her husband, their 4 children, 5 pets, family and friends. Tracey loves to entertain, being a keen cook, and also reads avidly, attends daily gym classes and loves nothing more than to walk around the Mount on a sunny day with friends.
Tracey is also an active member of the Institute of Financial Advisers and sits on 3 of its committees and is the local branch secretary. The Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) is an industry organisation which sets best practice standards, based on international standards, for its members to abide by. Adviser membership with the IFA is entirely voluntary.
Tracey joined forces with her two business partners, Jane Benton and Gail Seddon in May 2009. The three of them have a real passion for people and providing straight forward, quality advice. The team at G3 Financial Freedom specialise in providing holistic financial planning advice, investment advice, business risk advice and UK pension transfer advice. They believe that strong, long-term relationships provide their clients with the best possible outcomes.
